This virtual exhibit is a collection of both real and imaginary places, some of which were inspired
by the New England landscapes surrounding my Connecticut home town, while others resulted from trips
to my native Mexico City, where I always enjoy capturing the colors of the Mexican streets. My goal is to draw
the viewer in with strongly composed fields that feel unexpectedly light, free, and defy
perspective: am I up, or down? On land? In space? Is it a road somewhere?
Using aqueous palettes and amorphous forms beckoning elsewhere, these pieces are externally
oriented and inwardly directed, inviting delightful deciphering and reflection.
