I was born and raised in Mexico City, where I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design from Universidad Anáhuac in 1995. I then worked as a freelance graphic designer until December 1999, when my husband and I decided to move our family to the United States.

I have explored various artistic mediums throughout my career, from watercolors and acrylics to printmaking. However, my current artistic focus lies in mixed media. I am deeply engaged in creating pieces incorporating various materials, including acrylics, paper, leftover monotypes, fabric, gesso, ink, charcoal, and oil sticks.

I like to work in series, which enables me to explore a single theme or idea in various ways. Each finished piece, in turn, sparks new ideas and inspiration for the next one, and each new work is the cumulative result of all the pieces that came before it. There is always a discovery and new solutions, and I often allow unintentional elements to become part of the final composition.

My paintings have been featured in various exhibitions in my home state of Connecticut, Vermont, and bustling art hubs like New York City and my native Mexico City. In addition to regularly participating in juried group shows, I have had the honor of hosting several solo exhibitions and winning several awards, a testament to my growing recognition in the artistic space.

I currently work in my home studio, though I also enjoy painting with a group of local artists in CT.
